These products under the company of Rosmar Tan were not registered
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a warning against these two products under the brand owned by businesswoman and social media personality Rosmar Tan.
Rosmar sells beauty products. At a young age, she was able to establish her own company. Because of this, she was able to provide for her family and improve her financial status.
However, in a recent FDA advisory that was released, the agency warned the public not to buy two of the soap products that Rosmar is selling, based on the report from Inquirer.

“Premium Niacinamide Soap” and “Mysterious Madre de Cacao Soap” of Rosmar Skin Essentials have no valid certificate of product notification (CPN) as of Dec. 17, 2024, based on FDA Advisory Nos. 2025-0028 and 2025-0029.
This was verified by the regulator through post-marketing surveillance. Republic Act No. 9711, or the FDA Act of 2009 stated that without the proper authorization from the FDA, the manufacture, importation, exportation, sale, offering for sale, distribution, transfer, non-consumer use, promotion, advertising, or sponsorship of any health product is prohibited.

FDA Director General Dr. Samuel Zacate said that since Rosmar Tan’s unauthorized cosmetic products have not gone through the notification process of the FDA, the quality and safety of these cannot be guaranteed by the agency. He also said that the use of these unregistered products may pose health risks to consumers.
The agency also stated that consumers may be put in a potentially hazardous situation if products come from ingredients that are not allowed to be part of a cosmetic product or if they are from the contamination of heavy metals.

Adverse reactions such as skin irritation, itchiness, anaphylactic shock, and organ failure, may also be expected if one would substandard and possibly adulterated cosmetic products.
When asked about this matter, Rosmar did not go against the FDA advisory but she stressed that the agency has been declining their applications for CPNs.

She said that they had been complying with the agency’s requirements and they would get rejected. The social media personality even said that the application for the renewal of the CPNs of the products that were approved before was rejected as well.
“Even if we submit revisions, our applications are still denied, despite the long time the FDA takes to have our products approved,” she said.
Meanwhile, aside from the world of business, Rosmar Tan aims to enter the political arena. Last year, she filed her candidacy for Manila councilor.
