Ogie Alcasid is a victim of hacking
OPM icon Ogie Alcasid warned the public about his Facebook Page that has been hacked.
Social media has played a major role in the entertainment industry. Celebrities have been using various social media platforms to connect to their fans and show a glimpse of their lives behind the camera. These platforms are also being used for promotions and special announcements coming directly from celebrities of their managements.
Social media pages are also earning. Content creators have been using these platforms to sell products or earn through gifts.
Ogie Alcasid’s Facebook Page currently has 1.6 million followers. However, as of this writing, he cannot use this page because it was hacked. The last personal post that he shared was on December 27, 2024. It was a selfie photo taken at the airport.
The profile and cover photos were changed into the logo of a gaming application. Recent posts also showed videos featuring the game. Ogie shared a post on his official Instagram page warning the public regarding the hacking that happened.
“MY FB fanpage and personal FB page have been hacked. I have absolutely tried everything to get it back to no avail. Will keep trying. So to my FB friends, pls be aware. Apologies also,” he wrote.
In the comment section of his post, his fellow singer Divine Diva Zsazsa Padilla said that she hoped Ogie Alcasid would be able to recover his account because she was not able to recover her page that was hacked in 2023. Fans and supporters of the singer-songwriter also commented that they hope his pages will be recovered.
Star Music released a statement regarding Ogie’s hacked FB pages. The company said that the issue is now being resolved and in the meantime, netizens can continue to support Ogie through his official accounts on X (Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok.
