Darryl Yap has Pepsi Paloma’s mom and brother on his side
Director Darryl Yap introduced the mother and the brother of the late actress Pepsi Paloma and he said that it is time for them to speak.
The controversial director has been teasing the public about his upcoming movie about one of the members of the Softdrinks Beauties who gained popularity in the 80s. Pepsi, Delia Dueñas Smith in real life, had a controversial career in showbiz and tragic death.
She accused comedian-host Vic Sotto of r@ping her and this also involved comedians Joey de Leon and Richie D’Horsie. The first movie teaser that Direk Darryl shared mentioned Vic and this did not sit well with his fans and supporters, as well as, known personalities in the industry such as Arnold Clavio and Cristy Fermin.
Direk Darryl Yap has been explaining on his Facebook posts that his Pepsi Paloma movie has nothing to do with politics, any politician, or whatever political agenda.
He also stressed that the movie is about his townmate and not about TVJ (Tito, Vic, and Joey) or anyone affiliated with them. Previously, he also spoke about mentioning Vic in the first movie teaser.
On January 7, Direk Darryl shared another intriguing post on his Facebook page. He shared a photo with Lydia, the mother of Pepsi Paloma, and her brother Zaldy.
The director said that for 40 years, the public listened to famous people and popular personalities, to those with power, and claimed that they knew something and that they were friends with Pepsi.
However, Direk Darryl said that now, it is time to listen to Pepsi’s mother and brother who has been silent for a long time.
“Bigyan natin ng pagkakataon ang Inang nanahimik nang napakatagal na panahon, ang Inang matapos mawalan ng anak ay patuloy na nasasaktan sa mga paratang at panghuhusga. Tapos na ang pananahimik ng nakababatang kapatid ni Pepsi, na noo’y 15 years old lamang, kasama ng aktres hanggang sa mismong araw na siya ay natagpuang walang buhay sa loob ng aparador,” the director said.
He also said that the lie should be silenced because the truth will be perish. “Sila naman ang magsasalita, Sila naman ang magkukwento. PAMILYA. HIGIT SA LAHAT,” Darryl Yap said.
