The new set was revealed during the broadcast, coinciding with the program’s anniversary celebration on January 23, 2025. This occasion marked two years of engaging discussions, heartfelt interviews, and vibrant entertainment that has become synonymous with Boy Abunda’s hosting style. To mark this milestone, the production team went all out, creating a visually captivating and modern set that reportedly cost over half a million pesos. The meticulous setup began on December 20, 2024, ensuring everything was complete just in time for the live telecast.
The significance of the new set was further emphasized by a special event held prior to the telecast. A mass led by Fr. Vhen Yator of the Sacred Heart Parish Shrine in Quezon City was conducted. Following the holy mass, the new set and the entire studio on the 17th floor of the GMA Network Building were blessed. Boy Abunda expressed his gratitude, calling the new set a “bagong bihis,” or a new home, for his show.
During the broadcast, Boy shared a meaningful reflection from Fr. Vhen’s sermon, which emphasized the importance of dedication to one’s craft, drawing a parallel to Jesus Christ, who worked alongside his father, Joseph, as a carpenter. “Sumasama raw ang batang Hesus habang gumagawa ang Kanyang ama,” Boy said, highlighting the message to love and cherish one’s work—a sentiment that will guide Fast Talk with Boy Abunda throughout 2025.
According to the report, in addition to the new set, Boy Abunda’s dressing room has also been revamped, providing a fresh and comfortable space for preparation. Moreover, the guest artist holding area has been expanded, ensuring a welcoming environment for stars and contributors who grace the show.
