Piolo Pascual talked about his journey in showbiz
A-list actor Piolo Pascual shared what his loveteam with drama queen Judy Ann Santos did for his showbiz career.
Piolo has come a long way since he started his career in the Philippine entertainment industry. His ability to transform into different characters in series and movies has brought acting awards for him.
However, just like many artists in the Philippines, Piolo also had a tough start in the industry. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actor recalled that even though he couldn’t say that he was an outcast when he was a newbie, he felt that he was not favored.
He started his career in 1996 when he became part of the ABS-CBN’s Star Circle Batch 3. “I didnât necessarily feel like an outcast but I felt that it wasnât yet my time. I was insecure. I know I wasnât favored because mas nabigyan ng break yung iba,â Piolo Pascual said.
Despite this, the actor was determined to reach his goal. Piolo went to the US to improve his acting skills by undergoing acting workshops and had his weight training.
When he came back in 1998, he signed up with ABS-CBN, he felt better and he did not feel that he was an outcast anymore. The actor was grateful to the Star Magic management because he felt really guided. He mentioned that his movies Dekada 70 and Lagarista were the highlights of his acting career.
Then, the actor did not forget to mention his loveteam with Judy Ann Santos. âAnd then, I guess, my love team with Juday (Judy Ann Santos) because that made me become mainstream,â he said.
Piolo Pascual had several projects with the drama queen. Their first series together was Esperanza and this was followed by Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka, Bakit âDi Totohanin, Till There Was You, and Donât Give Up on Us. Until now, Piolo has been able to maintain his heartthrob image.
