Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid star in this MMFF entry
Kapuso actors Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid received these words from their Green Bones director Zig Dulay.
The movie is produced by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Dennis’ production company with his wife Jennylyn Mercado, BrightBurn Entertainment.
Previously, Dennis shared the efforts he made for his role in this film. The actor had to learn sign language because his role required it. Aside from that, Dennis also had to lose weight to make it more realistic.
The movie’s trailer received a warm response from the online community and anticipation that it would be one of the most-watched entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.
In a recent press conference for the movie, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Direk Zig Dulay lauded Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid. “Na-amaze ako lagi everytime doon sa eksena [nina] Ruru at Dennis na ito ‘yung hihingin mo, pero sobra ‘yung ibibigay nila,” she said.
The filmmaker also said that he is amazed and wonders how these actors did a great job and the process they had to have this kind of result.
The director was among the people who chose the lead actors for Green Bones. He shared that he saw Dennis and Ruru’s dedication to showcasing the message of the movie to the viewers.
“Kailangan naniniwala sila sa gustong sabihin or gustong i-embark ng pelikula kasi kung hindi, baka maging mechanical [o] hindi tumagos doon sa tao,” he said.
Direk Zig added that as artists, they are being followed by the audience and it is important that they feel that emotion and believe in what the movie wants to tell.
Meanwhile, Direk Zig also shared that he learned a lot while doing projects like this. His learnings came from the cast and the production crew. He said that he has that beginner’s mind. Even though he has done several projects already, he still thinks that this is new for him in such a way that he will learn a lot.
