A reporter who interviewed Pia Wurtzbach allegedly received this treatment
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was interviewed by a GMA reporter but allegedly this was stopped by a representative of the Department of Health (DOH) during a recent event.
The World’s AIDS Day event, organized by DOH, was held on December 1 in Pasay City. Pia led this event because she is an ambassador of LoveYourself, a community of volunteers that give free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching in the Philippines.
Pia continued to be active in her advocacy even after her reign as the Miss Universe in 2018, just like recently when she joined a recent charitable event. Previously, she auctioned off her pageant items and the money will go to charity.
Based on the article in PEP, a reporter from the GMA Integrated News had the opportunity to interview Pia. However, the interview did not take long because just a few minutes passed, a DOH representative called the reporter.
Based on what a witness shared with the showbiz news outlet, the GMA reporter was surprised when the DOH representative’s voice raised while reprimanding the former.
It was said that the DOH representative scolded the reporter for not asking permission to interview Pia Wurtzbach. Allegedly, the DOH representative even ordered the reporter to delete the video of the interview.
The reporter reportedly explained in a calm tone that the video would not be deleted. It was unclear what the DOH representative’s reason was for ordering the reporter to delete the video.
PEP writer Jojo Gabinete said that there were a lot of people who were dismayed by what the DOH representative did for the GMA reporter. As of this writing, the health department has not released a statement yet regarding what allegedly happened. Pia Wurtzbach has not reacted yet also to this rumor.
