Neri is tagged as “Wais na Misis.” After becoming inactive in the entertainment industry, Neri focused on establishing her different businesses. On her social media platforms, she often shared tips and advice for mothers and wives on handling business or their household.
At times, Neri also would share glimpses of her family life with her husband Parokya Ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda and their kids. The last Facebook update that the former actress shared was on November 22.
Neri Miranda shared that she woke up early for her exam. The former actress returned to schooling because she aimed to further enhance her knowledge in managing her businesses.
This was followed by her birthday post for her son Miggy who also received a lot of greetings from netizens.
On November 24, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared on his Showbiz Update vlog that someone sent a message to him claiming that Neri was arrested by the Police in Pasay City.
Allegedly, this happened on Saturday, November 23. The source claimed that this is connected to what is stated under Republic Act (RA) 8799 Section 8 or the “Registration of Brokers, Dealers, Salesmen and Associated Persons.”
Based on LawPhil, this law states, “Securities shall not be sold or offered for sale or distribution within the Philippines, without a registration statement duly filed with and approved by the Commission.”
Allegedly, the celebrity mom and entrepreneur is the “top most wanted person.” The exact reason for the alleged arrest was not stated and the identity of the complainant.
Ogie Diaz said that it is better that the clarification for this issue will personally come the wife of Chito Miranda. As of this writing, Neri Miranda has not released yet a statement about this allegation against her.
