Emman Atienza shared the mental health issues she had to overcome
Social media personality Emman Atienza opened up about the past struggles she went through and the learnings that she had after her controversial TikTok video.
Emman is the daughter of Kapuso seasoned TV host Kim Atienza. The young lady caught the attention of the online community last September and it is because of the viral videos she shared on her TikTok page.
Emman joined the “Guess The Bill” challenge with her friends. They were in an expensive restaurant and after their meal, they gave certain amounts as a guess of how much their bill was.
This was criticized by the online community as netizens said that Emman Atienza and her friends were being insensitive. Eventually, the social media personality released a video explaining what happened. She said that it was just a joke and they just joined a TikTok challenge. She also stressed that it was their friend’s birthday and the agency spent for that dinner.
In a recent episode of Toni Talks, the YouTube talk show of Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga, Emman shared that she has learned to filter the negative comments thrown at her and she did not allow this negativity to consume her or control her like what happened to her in the past.
Kuya Kim’s daughter revealed that she had a tough childhood. Emman revealed that during her childhood years, she was mostly with her yaya as her parents were both working. Her yaya mistreated her.
The social media personality shared that her yaya would threaten her or would put her inside the closet if she cried or was “bad.” There were times when her yaya would slap her while sleeping because she would move which would disturb her yaya.
Emman said that she thought that this was normal when she was young. Her parents only knew about this years later.
The social media personality also shared a dark experience she had to go through during her high school years just because she liked someone.
