Piolo Pascual Talks About Supporting A Party-List

Piolo Pascual is not interested in entering politics but he is supporting this party-list

A-list actor Piolo Pascual talked about supporting the party-list Hebreo Foundation which he also supported last elections.

Piolo has portrayed politician characters but when it comes to reality, he expressed no interest in being a politician. In an interview last November, the actor admitted that some of his friends invited him to run and some groups encouraged him to enter politics.

However, he asserted that he was not interested in these political offers. On the other hand, Piolo said that he will continue to support politicians and groups that he thinks can help the Filipino people.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Piolo Pascual talked about the party-list group that he has been supporting. The actor was asked about his huge billboards along EDSA and main roads in Metro Manila which featured a message for the welfare of Filipinos.

“I’m in partnership with a party-list that I also supported last elections. Mayroon kaming mga proyekto na ginagawa magkasama – they help my foundation, and we visit different places to do outreach,” the A-list actor shared.

Piolo was referring to his personal charity Hebreo Foundation which has been giving scholarships to students and does projects for the less privileged. The party-list he is referring to is Ang Probinsyano Party-list (APPL) which has been championing the rights and the welfare of Filipinos from far provinces for six years now.

Piolo Pascual believes that he supported and endorsed the right candidates and groups like APPL that have been working for the Filipinos.

“So yeah, at the end of the day, you give hope in your own way, but you also give a chance to people who are running and really want to serve by helping them out,” he said. The actor witnessed the outreach programs of the group, especially when typhoon Kristine hit the country.

He has a certain standard when it comes to the politicians or group that he will have his support.  “I endorse those who I believe in and I believe will really help many Filipinos in need,” the A-list actor said.
