Kathleen Hermosa shared a post about Labubu Craze
Labubu Craze – Celebrities have been fanatics about the latest bag accessories and toy figures trend but actress Kathleen Hermosa has a different view.
Just recently, celebrities from different parts of the globe have been sharing their Labubus. It is a furry elf character made by the Chinese toy company Pop Mart. There is a variety of quirky characters. This character has pointy ears, a playful grin, and nine serrated teeth.
In the Philippines, famous celebrities have shared their collections on social media such as Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo, Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto and her daughter, and socialite Jinkee Pacquiao.
Many found the characters cute and some collectors even buy clothes and accessories for their Labubu collections. Business-minded people also started gaining from this trend.
Despite Labubu’s popularity among celebrities, Kathleen Hermosa did not join the craze because she had a different view. In a recent Facebook post that she shared, she reposted what the FB page Stuff Finds shared.
The post talked about the supposed origin of the character which allegedly has a negative background. “Labubu dolls ( Nordic Elf ) Monsters the root is from a Nordic Mythology demon gods,” the post claimed.
The post also claimed that Labubu is a “pet of the underworld” and that it is a symbol of chaos, darkness, and the power of the underworld.
Kathleen warned netizens to “Be vigilant” about the Labubu craze. In the comment section of her post, she even emphasized the serrated teeth of the character.
Some netizens agreed with what Kathleen Hermosa shared but a netizen found it funny and another one commented with apparent sarcasm.
