Former KOJC Member Reveals Alleged P15M Quota For Christmas Caroling

Former KOJC Member Exposes P15M Christmas Caroling Quota in Senate Testimony

KOJC – Former Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) member revealed P15M Christmas Caroling quota in Senate Testimony.

Apollo Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God” and founder of the KOJC church, was arrested in September 2024 following the issuance of a bounty by the Philippine government. Known for his close association with former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte, Quiboloy has long been embroiled in controversy, facing accusations of crimes such as sex trafficking and money laundering.

The FBI also issued a warrant for his arrest due to similar allegations in the United States.

One of the most recent and damning testimonies against Quiboloy came from Teresita Valdehueza, a former member of KOJC. During a Senate Committee hearing on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, Valdehueza revealed the church’s deeply troubling practices surrounding its Christmas caroling activities.

According to her testimony, church members were subjected to immense pressure to meet hefty monetary quotas during the holiday season.

Valdehueza disclosed that the KOJC set a staggering P15 million target for Christmas caroling alone, forcing church members, including young children, to solicit donations. In her statement, she recalled the hardships faced by the members during these activities.

“Naghirap ang maraming workers at members sa pag-caroling at pag-solicit sa bawat tao sa lahat ng dako dito sa ating bansa. May namatay, may naaksidente, may nakulong, may mga na-rape pa na hindi na nai-report dahil baka hindi paniwalaan,” said Valdehueza.

Valdehueza further revealed that she had her own December quota, ranging between P10 to P15 million. To meet this target, she organized nationwide caroling efforts, exploiting and trafficking young members from Mindanao and Visayas to solicit funds in Luzon and the National Capital Region. Her testimony sheds light on the systemic abuse and exploitation that took place within the church, painting a harrowing picture of life within the KOJC.

Quiboloy’s arrest and the testimonies from former members like Valdehueza have intensified the scrutiny on his church and its operations, raising more questions about the scale of the abuses and the complicity of others within the organization.
