Jennica Garcia talked about the famous “sampal” of Jean Garcia
Actress Jennica Garcia recalled the painful “sampal” she experienced from her mother seasoned “kontrabida” actress Jean Garcia.

Viewers of the Kapuso primetime series Widow’s War have been witnessing the acting prowess of Jean Garcia. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Jennica Garcia was asked about her mom’s confrontation scenes.
Jean would showcase a realistic “sampalan” scene and Jennica shared that this made her ask what was the director’s instruction.
“Ano ang masasabi ko sa performance niya? Ang sabi siguro ng direktor, sampal, bakit parang pasapak na yung sampal niya? Sabi ko, bakit kaya ganun? Yung instruction, sampal, pero yung hawi ng mommy ko [mula taas pababa]?” the younger actress said about her mom.
Jennica also said that when it comes to slapping, the hand is the only part of the body that basically moves. However, for Jennica, during Jean’s slap, it seemed that her right and left hands were both moving.
When asked if she had experienced a slap from her mother, Jennica shared that this happened in their series Ina Kasusuklaman Ba Kita? There was a scene when Jean slapped Jennica.
The younger actress said, “Pagkatapos ng pagsampal niya sa akin, inisip ko din po kung gusto ko pa ba siyang tawaging ‘Inay?‘” After this, she laughed and said, “Biro lang.”
Meanwhile, Jennica Garcia shared in the same interview that she is still single now. She and her former partner Alwyn Uytingco separated in 2020.
