Kylie Padilla Strives To Become Better Mother By Rejecting Toxic Masculinity In Raising Sons

Kylie Padilla Wants To Be A Better Mom to 2 Children

KYLIE PADILLA – Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla strives to become a better mom to her two sons.

Celebrity mom Kylie Padilla wants to reject toxic masculinity when it comes to raising her two sons. One of Kylie’s latest posts on her official Instagram account shows her holding the book ‘How To Raise A Boy: The Power of Connection to Build Good Men’ by author Michael C. Reichert.

Published in 2020, it serves as a guide for parents on how to raise boys to become “confident, accomplished, and kind men.”

In her caption, Kylie Padilla admitted that she herself has “deeply rooted toxic beliefs on masculinity” and that she needs to reject them if she wants to become a better mother to her two sons, Alas and Axl. She also acknowledged that she cannot properly raise her sons if there remains resentment in her heart towards men.

According to her, this book provided her with the opportunity to examine her parenting style and understand why various men in her life turned out the way they did.

This is not the first time she has spoken about her two children and raising them. Last July on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Kylie mentioned that she co-parents with her ex-partner Aljur Abrenica.

“Aljur and I co-parent. Everytime na kukunin niya ‘yung mga bata, we talk. If may bagong ugali ‘yung mga anak namin na sa tingin ko kailangan niyang pagsabihan or to guide them. Same with him. Batuhan lang kami and we try to make it as consistent as possible,” she explained.

Kylie’s reading of ‘How To Raise A Boy: The Power of Connection to Build Good Men’ is also part of her ongoing self-improvement. In 2022, on her 29th birthday, Kylie posted a selfie on her Instagram account and wrote in the caption that she is doing everything she can for her two children because they can learn from her.
