CHITO MIRANDA – Singer-songwriter Chito Miranda revealed the real reason why he’s now hitting the gym.

Chito Miranda, the renowned frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar, has always been in the limelight for his music and artistry. But beyond his musical career, he is also known for his strong family values and dedication to his loved ones.

On December 13, 2014, Chito tied the knot with Neri Naig, an actress and entrepreneur. The couple has been blessed with two children: their firstborn, Miggy, and their second child, Manuel Alfonso Miranda, fondly nicknamed Cash, born in October 2021.

While some might assume it’s for vanity or to enhance his physical appearance, the musician clarified that this is far from the case. In his candid post, Chito said, “May gusto lang ako linawin. Hindi ako nagji-gym dahil gusto ko pumogi o maging macho…matagal ko nang tinanggap na hindi mangyayari yun (at matagal na akong mayabang para magpa-pogi pa hahaha).”

His humorous yet straightforward explanation showed that his main motivation stems from his desire to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Chito’s decision to work out is deeply rooted in his love for his family. He emphasized that his primary goal is to be healthy so that he can be there for them for as long as possible. “I go to the gym kasi gusto ko maging healthy para sa pamilya ko. Yun lang yun. Ganun lang ka-simple,” he shared.

He further explained that embracing this healthier lifestyle is his way of ensuring that he stays strong and lives longer for his wife and children.

Moreover, Chito shared one of his lifelong dreams: to grow old with Neri and travel without any physical limitations. “Gusto ko tumanda kasama ni Neri at makapag-travel kami ng hindi nagrereklamo na pagod na ako maglakad,” he said. For Chito, staying fit is not just about health—it’s about giving his family the best version of himself and enjoying life’s adventures with them to the fullest.
