Luis Manzano To Run For Batangas Vice Governor

Luis Manzano filed his COC

Kapamilya host Luis Manzano will run for Batangas vice governor as he filed his certificate of candidacy on October 3.

In recent months, Luis’s name has been associated with politics. It is not quite surprising since his mother Star For All Season Vilma Santos served their fellow Batanguenos for many years. The veteran actress was elected Mayor, Representative, and Governor of Batangas in the past.

In previous interviews, Luis was asked if he had plans to enter politics. He said that he is not closing his doors to this. In a recent interview, he expressed his readiness to enter the political arena. Because of this, speculations surfaced that his show Rainbow Rumble will soon end because he will run.

For the 2025 elections, Ate Vi will return to the political arena. She is set to run for governor again. In the COC filing on Thursday, the actress-turned-politician was joined by his sons, based on the report by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe.

Luis Manzano is set to run for vice governor while Ryan Christian Recto will run for 6th district representative. They were accompanied by Department of Finance Secretary Ralph Recto. Actress Jessy Mendiola was also there to show support for her husband.

The official Facebook page of Luis shared a video taken during the filing of the certificate of candidacy. It can be seen that their supporters were also at the Batangas Provincial Capitol to show support for them.

In another video, the members of One Batangas were introduced. Then, another video showed that Luis Manzano and his brother Ryan Christian shared their messages with the people in Batangas.

Meanwhile, Luis also got support from his father veteran actor Edu Manzano, who also did public service in the past. Edu reminded his son being in public service needs sacrifices and that it is hard to be active in showbiz while doing one’s responsibility as an elected official.
