Kaladkaren introduced her new name after getting married to Luke Wrightson
News anchor Kaladkaren or Jervi Li introduced her married name when she returned to Frontline Pilipinas after her wedding to her English husband Luke Wrightson.
Jervi rose to fame as an impersonator of seasoned journalist Karen Davila. Her video went viral which showing how she imitated Karen’s voice and delivery in presenting a news report. She was loved because of this.
Eventually, Jervi was able to enter the entertainment scene and did some hosting stints. Then, she became the first the transwoman who became a news anchor. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communication at the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
When she became part of Frontline Pilipinas in June 2023, she used her screen name Kaldkaren. She was in charge of delivering entertainment news and trivia.
For a while, the news anchor took a break when she and her longtime partner Luke tied the knot. Their wedding was a mesmerizing event witnessed by their loved ones and friends.
On September 30, Kaladkaren returned to the Kapatid primetime news program and debuted her married name, based on the article Inquirer. “Ako po si Jervi Wrightson,” she said.
After her first newscast with her married name, Jervi shared a post on Instagram talking about this. “So happy I did the newscast today as Jervi Wrightson!!! [loudly crying face emojis] New name, new look! This is just the beginning! [red heart emoji, rainbow emoji],” she wrote in the caption of her post.
In the comment section of her post, Jervi received a funny comment from her husband. “I need royalty from our surname [squinting face with tongue emoji] Proud of you, my beautiful wife!” Luke wrote. Then, Jervi jokingly answered, “It’s not included in the prenup.”
Fans of Kaladkaren, now known as Jervi Wrightson received love and support from her fans and her social media followers for this new phase in her life.
