Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings is now being linked to his loveteam partner singer-actress Maris Racal after rumors surfaced that he broke up with his non-showbiz girlfriend.
Maris and Anthony’s onscreen tandem came as a surprise. They were paired in the series Can’t Buy Me Love which featured the DonBelle loveteam of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.
From that, Maris and Anthony were given projects as loveteam partners. This was supported by their fans. However, back then, fans knew that this was all just onscreen as they were in a relationship with their respective partners.
Maris Racal was still in a relationship with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco at that time while Anthony Jennings was in with his non-showbiz girlfriend Jam Villanueva.
When it was confirmed that Maris and Rico broke up, Anthony was accused of being involved in this. However, the actress stressed that her loveteam partner has nothing to do with her breakup with Rico. Anthony also reacted to the speculations he was involved in the Maris-Rico breakup.
In a recent episode of Showbiz Update, the YouTube showbiz talk show of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, he mentioned the rumors that Anthony and his non-showbiz girlfriend are no longer together.
“Ang balita, hindi ko naman alam, sana hindi totoo naman, kaka-break lang daw ni Anthony Jennings sa kaniyang girlfriend,” Ogie said. However, he said that the public should wait for the confirmation from the actor.
He also entertained the possibility that Anthony and his girlfriend are not just fond of sharing their photos together on social media.
“Totoo ba ‘yun? Naku, pakilinaw nga kung totoong split na si Anthony Jennings sa kanyang non-showbiz girlfriend na si Jam Villanueva,” Ogie said. It was also said that found hope in Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings as a couple when the latter was rumored to have broken up with her non-showbiz girlfriend.
