In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Vilma Santos shared that she saw a video with her image and voice but she never shot this. It was a fraud video intended to sell a product for diabetic patients.

Because of artificial intelligence (AI), the people behind the video made her look like she was promoting the said product. With this, she said that this can really be scary.

That’s not me. I could just imagine how much magic people are able to do with this new technology today. It’s no joke. It’s scary,” the Star For All Season said. However, Vilma is also embracing technology, the positive side of it.

It is because, through this, she can be able to reach out to her fans who belong to the younger generation. She is aware of the need to adjust for modern times and said that this is good so that there will be no generation gap.

Then, Vilma Santos shared a memorable experience she had with a young man. “One time, I was traveling abroad when someone shouted, ‘Vilma, can I have a picture with you? I will show it to my mom.’ I think he was only in his 20s, but he knew me. That made me happy,” she enthused.

The veteran actress added that it was “heaven” for her that someone young recognized her and this is because of social media.
