Alice Guo Dance Video At Bamban Festival Elicits Reaction From Arnold Clavio

ALICE GUO – The viral dance video of former mayor Alice Guo at the Bamban Festival elicited a reaction from GMA-7 news anchor Arnold Clavio.

Alice Leal Guo, former Mayor of Bamban gained national attention when her name became involved in Senate investigations related to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged influx of illegal immigrants, which also made her a frequent subject of online memes.

On September 4, Guo Hua Ping, also known as Alice Guo, was arrested in Indonesia. Senator Win Gatchalian shared on social media that the dismissed mayor was apprehended in Tangerang City, Jakarta, at 1:30 AM. The arrest was confirmed by NBI Director Jaime Santiago.

On September 20, the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) ordered the transfer of Alice Guo to the Pasig City Jail female dormitory. According to the report, it is associated with the qualified human trafficking case.

The Pasig RTC Branch 167 presiding judge Annielyn Cabelis’s four-page order states that there is probable cause to hold Guo and her co-accused.

The following people are co-accused: Dennis Lacson Cunanan, Jamielyn Santos Cruz, Roderick Paul Bernardo Pujante, Juan Miguel Alpas, Merlie Joy Manalo Castro, Rita Sapnu Yturralde, Rowena Gonzales Evangelista, Thelma Barrogo Laranan, Maybelline Requiro Millo, and Huang Zhiyang.

Additionally, they face accusations violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act. As a result, the accused are not eligible to post bail because the offenses are not subject to bail. On September 27, via video conference, Guo and Long, who are presently being held at the Tarlac Provincial Jail, will go through a pretrial proceeding.

Just recently, Kapuso news anchor Arnold Clavio posted a video on his Instagram featuring Alice Guo. In the clip, the former mayor is seen happily dancing with several people on stage.

The footage was recorded at an event during the Bamban Festival last January. Alongside the video, Clavio added a short yet catchy caption: ā€œEHEM!ā€ followed by heart emojis.
