Pia Wurtzbach was not able to attend the Carolina Herrera show because of this
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach explained the “reposting” she did after she received negative reactions from netizens.
Pia is making a name in the international fashion scene. At the 2024 Emigala Fashion and Beauty Awards last April 28 at the Festival Bay Arena By Intercontinental, Dubai Festival City, she received the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year Award.
This was a big recognition, especially since she is a novice in this field. Despite being a newcomer, Pia proved that she can also make a name in the fashion industry.
However, one of her recent social media posts as a fashion influencer did not sit well with netizens who noticed that she “captured” this from the video that fashion site @stylenotcom shared three days prior to the day she shared her post.
With this, Pia Wurtzbach received criticism and accusations. She was accused of stealing the content as her initial post did not mention the source but she eventually credited the rightful owner.
Some netizens also accused Pia of having no invitation from Carolina Herrera so she was not able to attend the fashion show.
In a post she shared after that controversial post, Pia shared snippets of her New York activities. She said that she missed the place because this was where she had her first runway show.
The third Pinay Miss Universe also expressed happiness to have the chance to create looks with her team, as well as to reconnect and work with familiar faces. In her post, Pia also explained why she reposted content about the Carolina Herrera show. It was because of the heavy traffic in New York, that she was not able to attend some shows, including this one.
“The city’s bustling energy and vibrant atmosphere were just as thrilling as ever, even if the traffic did make me late for a few shows. Felt so bad to have missed the Carolina Herrera show by a few minutes,” the fashion influencer shared.
With this, she shot the looks that the fashion brand sent her and reposted the the curtain call “to make it up to them.” She also teased to her followers that she will be posting more Carolina Herrera content in the future.
