Richard Yap was asked about the recent rumor about his Kapuso series
Kapuso actor Richard Yap has this reaction when asked about the rumored end of his afternoon series Abot-Kamay na Pangarap.
In the series, Richard plays the character of Dr. Robert “RJ” Tanyag, the father of Analyn Santos, played by Jillian Ward, and Zoe Tanyag, played by Kazel Kinouchi.
The series is one of the highlights in the afternoon timeslot of GMA. This started airing in 2022 and still airing until now. However, just recently, rumors surfaced that after two years, the series is facing its end.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Richard Yap was asked about the rumored end of their afternoon drama series. The actor said that as of now, there is out of sight.
“Of course, we’re very happy kasi may trabaho kami. But we also want to continue giving… kung naiinis kayo sa show, gusto pa rin namin ibigay ‘yung inis sa inyo. Para magcontinue, hindi pa rin maputol,” Richard said.
He also said that they want to continue giving a good show to the viewers. The actor said that their viewers are waiting for the problem to be resolved and if his character and the character of Carmina Villarroel, Lyneth Santos, will end up together. Richard said that this is something that people should anticipate.
In real life, the actor said, that he wanted to be a doctor just like his character in the series. However, his dad is a businessman and so, it was somehow automatic that he would become a businessman also.
Meanwhile, Richard Yap’s daughter Ashley has started her own journey in showbiz. The actor’s daughter signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center and started doing workshops. Ashley said that she dreams of sharing the same screen with her father.
