Sandro Muhlach takes legal action against his bashers
Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach filed cyber libel complaints against netizens who shared defamatory posts about him and this received a reaction from Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque, the legal counsel of GMA contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Sandro received these negative comments after he revealed what happened to him after the GMA Gala 2024. Allegedly, Nones and Cruz harassed him in their hotel room.
Although the actor received support and sympathy from the online community, there were negative reactions on social media. In a previous report, Sandro already took legal action against her bashers.
Sandro Muhlach filed a cyber libel complaint against these netizens at the National Bureau of Investigation. In a recent interview with Abante, Atty Garduque shared that her clients were bullied also on social media after they were accused of harassing the Kapuso actor.
“Actually, my clients are bullied as well. They were called names and found guilty kahit wala pang nafa-file na kaso no’n sa kanila. Sa isang Facebook page nga, nakalagay na pinatay or namatay na raw si Richard Cruz,” the lawyer said.
With this, Atty. Garduque said that her clients were advised to stay away from social media for now.
She also said that this is the risk when a story or allegation is publicized, and even evidence. It is because these will be subjected to public scrutiny.
The lawyer also pointed out one can’t blame netizens for processing and verifying if the evidence or story presented to them is authentic or not. It is also inevitable that there were people that will really oppose, she said.
“Kaya from the start, we are firm that we will just give our version of the story and will just present our evidence in the proper forum,” the lawyer said.
