Jasmine Curtis-Smith highlights the importance of the production team’s support for the actors
Award-winning actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith reacted to what Vivamax queen Angeli Khang revealed about the intimate scenes that she did in movies.
Jasmine has done a lot of different roles already. For her latest movie Real Life Fiction with A-list actor Piolo Pascual, Jasmine had to show certain body parts and do some intimate scenes which is her first time.
She said that she had to go out of her comfort zone for her role in this movie. Based on the article in Inquirer, Jasmine is thankful to the production team for taking care of her while filming the intimate scenes.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith knows that her experience is far from what Angeli Khang had experienced in doing her scenes in her Vivamax movies.
To recall, Angeli revealed in an interview on Toni Talks, Toni Gonzaga’s talk show on YouTube channel, that she felt her co-stars took advantage of her while filming their intimate scenes.
In line with this Jasmine said that it is really important that the production team would take care of the artist. “I think it really just depends on the production team as much as it is dependent on the actors voicing out what they need to be comfortable with,” she said.
Jasmine also said that sometimes the actor or actress might feel uncomfortable making such a request because this may be tagged as being demanding. The actress pointed out that certain roles or stories require the cast members to have intimate scenes and stars are obliged to do their best to deliver what is needed from them.
The best thing to do in this kind of scene is to give their full performance so that it would be over as soon as possible. Jasmine stressed that the intimacy coordinator assigned should set certain rules like limiting the number of people watching during the shoot.
She also said that he hoped that Angeli Khang would have the strength to ask anything that would make her safe while filming intimate scenes.
“I’m sorry she felt so uncomfortable, but I really hope in the future she finds within herself to request those things, or if not, her management, the production team, will take the step without her needing to ask for it,” Jasmine Curtis-Smith said.
