Geneva Cruz Goes Back To School, Here’s Why

Here’s Reason Why Geneva Cruz Goes Back To School

GENEVA CRUZ – Find out why veteran singer-actress Geneva Cruz went back to school.

Actress and singer Geneva Cruz is going back to school to finish her college education by enrolling in a Business Administration course at the Philippine Christian University. Geneva first announced her return to school in a Facebook post after a long break.

The 48-year-old actress reminisced about her college days at the University of Santo Tomas, where she was an AB General Literature student. “But life had different plans for me, and that’s to become a mother first. I have no regrets because I have a beautiful son,” the actress wrote.

However, Geneva Cruz mentioned that having a 10-year-old daughter became her motivation to prioritize earning a college degree. She explained, “I strongly believe in setting a positive example for my children, which drives me to dedicate time to pursuing my educational goals. My favorite quote has always been, “If there’s a will, there’s a way,” and it’s true. You can always find time to prioritize and pursue what is important to you if you really want to.”

Geneva added, “I live to grow because there’s no age or judgment in personal growth as long as you keep pushing forward to finish what you start. Go after your goals–there’s no such thing as being too late!”

She also thanked singer and fellow reservist Ronnie Liang, who also went back to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Management. She mentioned that he reminded her of the significant impact education has on a person.

Geneva also expressed gratitude to her family: her father, Boyet Velez Cruz, her two children, and her siblings who also graduated from college—Aubrey Cruz, Ness Lex Carretas, and Eliza Cruz.

“Para sa inyo rin ito — para kay #angelmama!” the singer-actress stated.

However, Geneva also gave a reminder, “Don’t even consider your degree a pass or a way to a great life. The point is not that a degree is meaningless but that it should have great value or uphold something of great importance to you.”

“People hire or do business with you based on your skills, attitude, and work ethic rather than just your degree,” she said.
