Kaye Abad has this life away from the glitz and glamour of showbiz
Actress Kaye Abad talked about her life in Cebu with his husband Paul Jake Castillo and their two sons.
Kaye rose to fame during the 90s. From her Ang TV days, she became one of the in-demand drama actresses of her generation. Eventually, when she got married to Paul Jake, who started his showbiz career through Pinoy Big Brother, she started living in Cebu.
Paul Jake is originally from the Queen City of the South and his family is the owner of the popular liniment brand Efficascent Oil. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Kaye talked about their lives outside showbiz.
The actress said that she did not leave the entertainment industry totally, it was just a break or she was just lying low. Even though living in Cebu will mean that she will have limited access to showbiz engagements, Kaye Abad said that this decision is something that she never regretted.
She said that she did not hesitate to move to Cebu for her loved ones because it has been her dream to have her own family since she was 18 years old.
“Sabi ko when I’ll have my own family, I think I’ll stop acting ’cause I want to concentrate with my family. So, at least ngayon, hindi naman ako nag-stop. I’m still here. Nag-lie low lang,” she said. Her husband also feels the same. Paul Jake prefers his life in Cebu as well.
Kaye said that she loves Cebu because it is very laid back there. She is living a simple life in the province. The actress wanted this kind of life and she is happy that she is having what she dreamed of.
“‘Yung buhay na pinangarap ko, natupad lahat dito. So, pagiging motherhood, pagiging housewife, natupad lahat. Hindi ako artista dito,” Kaye Abad said. She also said that she is not afraid to lose her popularity. For her, this life is quieter and more peaceful.
