Ivana Alawi had to be a “kabaong” for her last scene in the Kapamilya series
Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi talked about her “kabaong” scene in the Kapamilya primetime series Batang Quiapo.
Ivana played the character of Bubbles in the series with actor-director Coco Martin as the lead male star. She officially bid goodbye as her character died. Her final episode’s ratings went up.
Because her character died, Ivana had to be placed in a coffin. Based on the article in Bandera, the actress that this is probably the most challenging scene she has done so far. This is the reason why she will treasure her character in this series.
Ivana Alawi had to lie down inside the coffin. She admitted that this somehow gave her chills. “Ang hirap, katok ako nang katok. Tapos may glass, ang hirap huminga. Mabilis lang yung take, pero marami,” she said.
The actress shared that it lasted for five minutes. The glass of the coffin is opened every time she knocks. She shared a behind-the-scene photo on her Instagram page showing that she was inside the coffin.
Although she was smiling in the photo, Ivana admitted that she felt nervous at that time. “Kasi kung takot ka, takutin ko pa ba sarili ko? ‘Di happy, happy ako (kaya ako mag-peace sign),” she explained. Ivana also shared that they filmed the scene at around 3 in the morning and with that, she just prayed.
Meanwhile, the actress admitted that she is still saddened by the fact that she is no longer part of the series. She shared that people would ask why she is no longer in Batang Quiapo. The actress said that when this happened, she remembered that she resigned from the series.
Ivana Alawi’s exit from the show became controversial as she was accused of having an attitude problem and that allegedly this was the reason why she was taken out of the project. However, the actress debunked this and Coco Martin even vouched that she is “napakabait.”
