Fifth Solomon Recalls Being Forced By Reality Show Producer To Come Out

Fifth Solomon reveals what he experienced when he joined a reality show

Director Fifth Solomon recalled the time he was forced by a reality show producer to come out as gay.

There had been many instances when celebrities would bravely reveal their true gender orientation. This could receive polarizing reactions from showbiz fans and the online community.

On the other hand, there are times when a celebrity was put on the spot and he or she is not yet ready to share this aspect of his or her life. This happened to Fifth years ago.

In a series of tweets, the director shared a bad experience he had when he was just 17 years old. At that time, Fifth Solomon was in a reality show and he shared that a gay executive producer of the show wanted him to admit in front of his fellow contestant that he is gay.

The gay producer said that he knew that Fifth is gay so he wanted to admit it on the show. Fifth said that he was ashamed at that time and he did not expect that a fellow gay would do that to him.

With his fear, he did not admit at that. Fifth said that he was traumatized by that experience and the words he heard. On the other hand, the director was thankful to his Pinoy Big Brother family when he revealed his gender orientation on the Kapamilya reality show. He felt that he was given a platform to be who he is and to handle the gender issue.

Then, Fifth said that people should not force other people to just “magpakatotoo” because it is hard to be true in a world that does not want the truth. Coming out or revealing the truth, the director stressed that it should be on your own volition and the world will just adjust to you.

Fifth Solomon also said that he hopes to see that gay executive producer once again someday. “Gusto ko mag death drop sa harap niya suot ang gucci boots ko,” the director said.
