Angeli Khang Takes Legal Action Against Her Father
ANGELI KHANG – Rising Filipino actress and model Angeli Khang revealed that she and her mother filed a case against her father.
The s*xy actress Angeli Khang revealed on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that she and her mother filed a case against her father due to the physical abuse he inflicted on her and her brother when they were still minors. In her conversation with the veteran TV host Boy Abunda, Angeli shared that their father was overly strict when it came to disciplining them, to the point of physical violence.
According to the Vivamax actress, her father was a former Military Officer in the United States, which made him naturally strict, but they didn’t expect him to go overboard.
Angeli Khang said, “Since military discipline ‘yung dad ko, mas naging uptight pa siya na… it became too much for us to handle, the both of us, me and my brother. My older brother.
“Kahit ano’ng makita, Tito Boy. One time, merong dos por dos, ’cause he owns a construction company there. May makita siyang dos por dos, nung nakita niya ‘yun sinaktan niya agad ‘yung kuya ko, pinalo sa likod. And hindi pula ang lumabas sa likod ng kuya ko, color purple na.”
Due to the abuse, her brother fled back to the Philippines, leaving Angeli behind. It was then that the young actress also experienced physical abuse from her father.
“Ang way niya sa’kin, bigla niya ‘kong nginudngod sa hugasan ng mga plato. Nginudngod niya ‘ko do’n, at one week niya ‘kong hindi pinakain.
“Since may farm kami do’n, may garden kami. Ang kinakain ko every time na pinapakain ko ‘yung aso, pumipitas ako ng avocado, ng orange, ng apple. One week hindi ako kumain. Minsan nga kapag pinapakain ko ‘yung aso nakikita ko, ‘Ang sarap naman ng pagkain ng aso kainin ko na lang kaya ‘to,’” Angeli shared.
Angeli Khang once thought that what their father did to them was just normal discipline. She said, “I actually thought that was a normal parenting hood. Opo, na kapag nagkamali ka, normal lang na saktan ka ng tatay mo, ng parents mo. But, hindi ko na-realize na sobra-sobra na pala. Na hanggang sa na-realize ko na lang na pumapasok ako sa school na may pasa, dumudugo ‘yung kamay ko. Ang lagi lang sa’kin sinasabi ni Daddy to comfort me, ‘I want the best for you.’”
When Angeli’s school in Saipan learned about the abuse her father was inflicting, they called him in. This alarmed her father, who then sent her back to the Philippines.
Angeli’s mother never imagined that her father would hurt her as well. A warrant of arrest has now been issued against Angeli’s father, and he can be arrested by the police if he returns to the Philippines.
“May warrant of arrest na. ‘Yung case na finile namin, it took a lot of years. Ang daming dilemma na nangyari, but good thing nag-push through siya. [Year] 2020 ‘ata or ’21 ‘yun natapos nung na-file-an na ng warrant of arrest ‘yung dad ko.
“Thankful din sa career ko ngayon dahil mas naging easy ‘yung pag-file ng case sa dad ko na naawa sa’kin ang mga tao. Pag-uwi daw ng dad ko, ‘pag bumalik ulit ang dad ko dito sa Pilipinas, may warrant of arrest na siya. Huli na agad,” said Angeli.
“You will forgive him, if he asks for forgiveness?” Abunda asked Angeli.
“Yes,” the actress replied.
She added, “And now, maybe he’s 70 plus, 80 plus years old. Uhm…there will be judgment kung hindi man siya ma-judge dito sa mundo. And I believe in God. There will always be judgment.”
