Angelica Yulo held a press conference to answer issues between her and her son Carlos Yulo
Angelica Yulo apologized to her son Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo for her comment on his girlfriend, social media personality Chloe San Jose.
Following Angelica’s supposed Facebook post showing support for her son’s competitor, she expressed in an interview that the conflict between her and her son was ignited by his girlfriend.
Angelica explained that she did not take her son’s money from his incentives. She also stressed that her son might suffer eventually financially because of his girlfriend. However, in a statement released by Carlos, he defended Chloe and said that his mother had been spending his money without his consent.
In a press conference on Wednesday, August 7, Angelica Yulo, with her legal counsel Atty. Raymond Fortun, read her open letter for Carlos Yulo, based on the report from ANC. She said that as a mother, she is hurting.
She is also saddened that this kind of family issue is now being discussed publicly when it is supposed to be addressed privately.
Angelica also stressed that she is not a perfect mother but Carlos is not also a perfect son, and that there is no perfect family.
She said that a mother only hopes the best for her child and her family. Carlos’s mom hopes that her son will understand her intention.
She was hurt because the good son that she raised as a good person was no longer listening to his parents’ guidance.
Angelica also apologized for what he said about Carlos’s girlfriend. “Kung mali man ang naging pagpuna ko sa nobya mo, humihingi ako ng patawad, dahil nanay lang ako na nag-aalala,” she said.
Angelica Yulo also knows that Carlos is a grown-up now and can make decisions for himself. She also said that their home is open for their son. The mother of the Olympic gold medalist also said that she and her husband are ready to discuss the issue privately. Angelica also apologized to Carlos and to the public for what she said in a previous interview.
