Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo shared a post criticizing his mother Angelica Yulo amid the money issues between them.

Carlos has been a trending topic on social media these past few days because of his achievement as an athlete. The Filipino gymnast won two gold medals and praise continued to pour onto him. Rewards from companies and individuals for the honor he gave to the country are also abundant.

However, amid the achievement that he reached, controversies also surfaced. His mother, Angelica caught the attention of the online community when he shared a post showing support for a gymnast from Japan.

Angelica Yulo directly supported the competitor of her son and this did not sit well with many netizens. Accusations surfaced against her claiming that she spent her son’s money without his consent.

Angelica has explained her side of the story about the money issue and blamed Carlos’s girlfriend Chloe San Jose for allegedly igniting the conflict.

Although Carlos has not spoken yet about the issue with his mother, he reposted a TikTok video showcasing a netizen’s comment against his mother. In the video, it was said that Chloe deserves to be recognized for being there for Carlos because his family is not supporting him.

“His mother also had the gust to share posts saying ‘Japan pa rin talaga…’ while her son is literally competing too. May mga magulang pala talagang ganyan,” the post stated.

Last June, Angelica Yulo shared a post mentioning her kids but she did not include Carlos Yulo. In the comment section of her post, she said that she couldn’t tag her other child because she blocked him.

In an interview after winning his second Olympic gold medal, Carlos said that he considered his gymnastics boss Cynthia Carreon as his mother for her support since he was starting.
