Shaina Magdayao said that Meryl Streep is her hero
Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao had the chance to attend the talk headed by prominent Hollywood actress Meryl Streep at the Cannes Film Festival.
Shaina is one of the most popular actresses of her generation in the Philippine entertainment industry. She started her career at a young age. Back in the 90s, she was known as a child star who would easily deliver a dramatic scene with ease.
This year, Shaina had the chance to attend the prestigious film festival in France and this gave her also the opportunity to see the actress who is one of her heroes.
Based on the article in PUSH, the film festival organized a talk featuring the prominent Hollywood star with the title Rendezvous With Meryl Streep. Shaina Magdayao did not let this opportunity pass.
The Kapamilya actress shared that she had the starstruck feeling when she saw Meryl. As an actress, the Hollywood star is her hero with all her greatness in portraying her roles. Shaina admitted that she is a fan girl, not just because of Meryl’s remarkable acting projects but also because of her personality.
The Kapamilya also shared that Meryl had a one-hour talk and just selected personalities were chosen to attend this. Shaina was thankful that her producer was able to take a seat for her.
She shared that what she admired the most about the Hollywood star was that how human she is despite her status as an actress. “She kept on talking about her personal life. Di ba you would think she’s going to keep on talking about , I did this, I did that,’ ‘yung mga ganun, ‘yung mga achievements niya,” the Kapamilya actress said.
Shaina also shared that when Meryl was asked about her remarkable performances in her films, she would downplay it and just she just needed to do her work. She also said that it was obvious that the Hollywood actress is not after the fame or stardom.
Shaina Magdayao said that having this kind of opportunity to see and hear Meryl Streep in person made her admire the Hollywood actress even more.
Meanwhile, the actress is now part of the new Kapamilya series Pamilya Sagrado.
