Julia Montes hopes to have a project with Kathryn Bernardo
Kapamilya actress Julia Montes asserted that there is no competition between her and her fellow ABS-CBN star Kathryn Bernardo.
Julia and Kathryn are among the most popular stars of their generation. They first worked together in the remake of the hit series Mara Clara. Kathryn played the “bida” role that was first portrayed by Judy Ann Santos while Julia was the “kontrabida” that was played by Gladys Reyes in the original series.
Despite their similar status in the entertainment industry, they remained friends over the years as there is no competition between them.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Julia Montes said that she and Kathryn Bernardo have been friends since they were young. Even though they are in the same generation in showbiz, Julia said that there had never been a competition between them. She also said that they are like sisters by heart.
For Julia, she and Kathryn are loveteam by heart. She is also supportive of Kathryn’s achievements and career milestones. Julia is happy every time Kathryn receives recognition and awards. She said that they are happy for each other’s success. The actress also said the public does not see it on social media but Kathryn is very supportive of her.
Julia also said that she and Kathryn have been praying and hoping that there will be a good project for them. “Kasi iba rin makipag-work sa tao na alam mo at mahal mong katrabaho. So sana hopefully soon, magkaroon ng project for us,” she said.
Meanwhile, Julia Montes recently received a recognition at the 7th The Eddys awards by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors. She received the Best Actress award for her movie Five Breakups and a Romance with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards. People noticed that she did not mention Coco Martin, the special man in her life, during her acceptance speech.
