Willie Revillame Lost Interest In Politics, Here’s Why

Willie Revillame talked about his past statement about politics

Veteran TV host Willie Revillame has a different view on politics now than what he had months ago.

Back in 2023, Willie expressed his willingness to enter politics. He said that he was planning to run for Senator. His announcement about his political plans garnered different reactions from the public.

Even back in 2022, there had been speculations that he would eventually enter politics. Willie even shared that he was encouraged by former President Rodrigo Duterte but he declined. Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin slammed his intention to run for senator in the next elections.

However, in a recent statement, Willie Revillame had a different tone when it comes to politics. Based on the article in Balita, the veteran TV host has lost his interest in public service.

The veteran TV host said that he lost his “amor” to politics because of what he saw in Congress and Senate hearings. Willie said that he was thinking about what would it be like when he would be in that position.

He also stressed that he does not like the “awayan” that happens between public servants and this frustrates him. Willie pointed out that there is only unity when it is the campaign period but this does not continue after the elections.

He also does not like what he has seen that politicians would promise whatever they can promise to the voters but this immediately changes when they are already in the position. Willie said that serving the public is not just confined during the campaign period. “Kapag nakaposisyon ka na, nag-iiba na ang lahat. That is my opinion,” he said.

Meanwhile, Willie Revillame is now gearing up for his TV comeback. It was recently that his new show will be Wil To Win. This will be aired on TV5. Last May, his co-hosts were introduced and they are the Win Girls, composed of Ana Ramsey, Queenay Mercado, and Inday Fatima.
