Is Assunta de Rossi planning to return to showbiz?
Celebrity Assunta de Rossi shared what she feels like living a life of a “donya” or a “haciendera.”
Assunta has become inactive in showbiz for many years now. She now has her baby Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra or Fiore, who she considers her miracle baby. The actress is married to businessman-politician Jules Ledesma, one of the wealthiest personalities in Negros Occidental.
In a recent interview during the trade launch of Rampa Drag Club in which Assunta is one of the guests, she was asked about her life behind the camera.
Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Salve Asis remarked that Assunta de Rossi is a certified “haciendera” now and living the life of a “donya” to which the latter answered, “Yes. Ganun na nga.”
Her family owns many properties in Negros. When asked what she feels like living the life of a wealthy person where money is not an issue, the showbiz personality said, “Wala, normal lang. I’m as normal as anyone can be.”
Assunta said that during the pandemic, she and her family stayed in Negros but they seldom visit the province now. Aside from sugar production, they extended their businesses to different fields.
“Ano na kami… iba-iba na. Aside from supplying sugarcanes, nagbebenta rin, real estate. May mga nagre-ent, may mga bumibili ng lupa sa amin, so iba-iba na talaga siya,” she shared.
When asked if she no longer plans to return to showbiz, Assunta said that right now, this is not her priority. She said that it is not like she does not need it but she is not desperate to return. It is just that it will not be prompted by her needs.
Assunta de Rossi admitted that she misses showbiz but her kid is her priority now. She describes her daughter as “malikot” but not a picky eater.
