Ogie Diaz answered netizens’ comments on how he conducts interviews
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz has this reaction to people comparing him to King of Talk Boy Abunda.
Aside from his regular Showbiz Update vlog, in which he and his co-hosts would talk about the latest showbiz news and issues, Ogie also has another channel intended for interviews.
He already interviewed a lot of celebrities and allowed them to share their stories and their sides about certain issues or controversies.
Through Ogie Diaz Listens, the viewers can see and know the guests’ thoughts on the issues being thrown at them or simply share their stories to inspire other people.
In a recent post that Ogie shared on X, formerly Twitter, he specifically addressed the comparison that some people make. He said that people appreciate the way he does his interviews but he stressed that there is no need for them to compare him to Boy Abunda.
The King of Talk has been in the industry for many years already and has done different talk shows and other hosting jobs. He currently has his own take show on GMA, the Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
“Salamat po sa mga nakagusto ng paraan ko ng pag-interbyu. Pero wag nyo po ako ikumpara kay Kuya Boy Abunda,” he said. Ogie also said that he still has to prove a lot before reaching the status of the King of Talk.
The talent manager-vlogger quipped that he also wishes to speak straight English, so he would just listen to his guest during interviews.
“Marami pa po akong kakaining bigas para lang makapantay kay Kuya Boy. Pangarap ko ding maka-Ingles nang diretso, hahaha! Kaya dinadaan ko na lang sa pakikinig sa guest,” Ogie Diaz said.
