Boy Abunda Finds Interview W/ Jillian Ward ‘Fascinating’
BOY ABUNDA – Veteran talkshow host Boy Abunda described his interview with GMA-7 star Jillian Ward as “fascinating.”
Boy Abunda happily announced that the next guest on the limited talk series “My Mother, My Story” will be the New Generation Star, Jillian Ward. According to the King of Talk, the entire team visited Tagaytay and shot at the old house where he and Jillian previously taped for his show “Trudis Liit.”
Based on a report from GMA, Abunda described their conversation as “fascinating.” He explained, “I am fascinated by her being present. She’s so present in the interview.”
Boy Abunda was also amazed by Jillian’s confidence in showing her candid self and opinions in front of the camera. He said, “Unafraid to be herself. Ibig sabihin, may mga moments na sa kaniyang narrative as a kid, she wanted some things. Awkward stage until today, she’s one of the biggest stars in the entertainment business in television. Unafraid about the contradictions, bilib ako doon.”
“Kasi what is a narrative if the flow is always reasonable, logical, doon ako bilib sa mga narrative ng public figures, powerful people, celebrities. When they are able to embrace their uniqueness,” he added.

For Boy Abunda, listening to the changes in Jillian’s mindset as she grew up, such as her past desires and actions was intriguing.
“Eto gusto ko noon, ngayon hindi na. Eto ginagawa ko noon, ito dito, I love that about her that’s why I described my interview with her as fascinating,” he expressed.
Jillian’s story is one of the six celebrity features in “My Mother, My Story.” All guests on the show will share their stories and how they were raised by their parents. They will also talk about their experiences of being supported, hurt, learning to love, and other events in their lives that shaped their personalities.
