Heart Evangelista Is Up for ‘Ang Tanging Ina’ Reunion Movie
HEART EVANGELISTA – Fashion icon and actress Heart Evangelista spoke about the possible ‘Ang Tanging Ina’ reunion movie.
Heart Evangelista is a Filipina actress, singer, TV personality, endorser, visual media artist, philanthropist, socialite, and former first lady of Sorsogon province. Her parents, Bicolana Maria Cecilia del Gallego Payawal and restaurant tycoon Reynaldo Evangelista Ongpauco, are Chinese-Filipinos. She was born on February 14, 1985.
The 39-year-old celebrity recently took oath as the new president of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SPFI). In her speech at the ceremony, Evangelista expressed her readiness to collaborate with other senators’ spouses and seek methods to improve the lives of our people and communities.
“Oo naman.” This was the enthusiastic response of Heart Evangelista when asked if she was up for participating in the potential Ang Tanging Ina reunion movie. It’s worth noting that Heart played Portia, the fourth child of Ina Montecillo, portrayed by Ai Ai Delas Alas, in the iconic comedy movie back in 2003.
Recently, news broke that Ai Ai has been in talks with her former co-stars about the possibility of creating a new version of their blockbuster movie.
On Friday, June 7, GMA Network asked Heart Evangelista if she was game for the proposed reunion movie.
She replied, “Yes! Marami nang narating si Portia sa kaniyang kaartehan.”
According to Heart, she is aware that the scene with Nikki Valdez and Alwyn Uytingco, where they argue over her character Portia’s debut, is still trending.
“Yes… natuloy naman din siya sinabunutan nila ako and all that pero natuloy, natuloy ang debut ni Portia,” Heart said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Heart is also preparing for her new role as the President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc.
She said, “Well I really have to study the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc., I needed to study thoroughly kung anong mga naging project nila and basically it’s us continuing what they have done, updating what they have done like infrastructures, facilities, so babalikan namin lahat yun.
Heart added, “But at the same time, we wanted new things again, I’m kind of OC (over-conscious) when it comes to my work. Although this is not really work because it’s a foundation, it’s from the heart. Binigay naman din siya so siguro sabi ni Lord, it’s time to work and give back.”
When asked if her husband, the new Senate President Senator Chiz Escudero, gives her advice about her new political role, she responded, “A little bit. But then parang busy din siya but I always ask his guidance.”
The actress and fashion icon also mentioned that she is happy that Sen. Chiz trusts her with the things she does.
