Jaclyn Jose Was Hurt When Andi Eigenmann Left Showbiz
ANDI EIGENMANN – Actress-turned-vlogger Andi Eigenmann admitted her late mom Jaclyn Jose was hurt when she left the entertainment industry.
Former actress and content creator Andi Eigenmann became emotional as she shared her story about her late mother, Jaclyn Jose. In her interview with Boy Abunda on the TV special “My Mother, My Story,” Andi recounted her decision to leave showbiz and move to Siargao.
Andi shared that Jaclyn was saddened by her decision to leave her showbiz career. Whenever they had the chance to talk, her mother would always urge her to return to showbiz.
“It took me a while to realize how heavy it must have been for her when I left the industry. One of her last few messages to me when she would send me messages and she would just miss me, magpaparamdam siya, she would always either sasabihin niya, ‘Oh, may offer ka’ or ‘Meron may gusto kumuha sa iyo sa isang pelikula’ or ‘ Sure ka ba? Baka naman puwede kang bumalik lang dito. Dalin mo ‘yung kids tapos mag-taping ka nang ganito,” Andi said.
At first, Andi thought Jaclyn was simply regretting her decision to leave because of her talent, but she later realized that her mother’s sadness was much deeper.
She said, “But what I realized was that it was more for her, you know, because leaving the industry was not just about leaving showbiz, it was about leaving a big part of her life. I literally just left that.”
Despite everything, Jaclyn Jose remained supportive of Andi’s life decisions. Andi said, “I understand where you are coming from, wow yeah my mom must have missed me. My mom must have been sad, you know being with me away. But that’s the thing is that she didn’t make me feel it. She made me feel that it’s okay.”
Andi admitted that she and her mother had their disagreements, but they still loved each other very much.
“Kahit minsan, kahit kailan, walang moment na hindi kami proud sa isa’t isa, hindi kami fan sa isa’t isa.” she stated.
Her mother was always there for her, especially when she faced career or life problems. Andi said she would never forget the love Jaclyn gave her.
She emotionally shared, “Napatunayan niya para sa akin masasabi ko na isa siyang evidence, siya at ako na ang pagmamahal puwede maging sapat. Kasi kahit hindi siya naging perpektong ina, sa buong buhay ko, lahat ng pagmamahal na binuhos niya sa akin, naging sapat para mapalaki ako or magpalaki siya ng tao na nasa isang magandang lugar sa buhay niya.”
Now that her mother has passed away, Andi wants to continue her mother’s legacy. She is still thinking about how she will do this, but she is sure it will revolve around Jaclyn’s love for filmmaking and acting.
“Hindi ko sinasabing ayoko mag-artista ulit or umarte ulit, hindi na ako babalik. Naghahanap pa rin siguro ako ng tamang pagkakataon para doon,” Andi concluded.
