Heart Evangelista is ready to do public service
Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista is now the official president of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (FFSI) and this job has no salary.
Heart is successful in the world of showbiz. In her acting career, she has done different series and movies. Then, the Kapuso star ventured into fashion. Now, she is considered an international fashion icon/influencer.
Just recently, she had her oathtaking as the new FFSI head. She automatically assumed this role after her husband Senator Chiz Escudero became the Senate President.
In an interview after the oathtaking, Heart Evangelista said that she is ready and eager to work to make a change. She is also willing to continue the projects that the past administration started.
The actress also stressed that although she is used to being photographed, this duty is more than just a photo op.
Based on the article by Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Salve Asis, someone close to Heart stressed that the Kapuso star will not receive any salary for her job as the head of the foundation.
Asis also said that there were people who put intrigues to this new duty that Heart has in Senate. “Isa umanong “for the love of job” ang bagong position nito bilang misis ni Senator Chiz Escudero,” the entertainment writer said.
In a reply to her followers on Instagram, Heart said that she never asked for this but she will definitely do her best to do her duties.
“I worked for what I have and I can say I have more than what the little girl inside me ever dreamed of … I don’t want anything in return but just for me to be able to be an instrument of God. you only get to live one life …make it count !so let’s do this,” the fashion icon said.
Heart Evangelista also shared information about the foundation. It was established in 1987 and it is a non-stock, non-profit organization. Everything is done voluntarily or from the heart. It is an honor for her to share this kind of endeavor with her fellow Senate spouses.
