Heart Evangelista Meets W/ Senate Spouses

HEART EVANGELISTA – Fashion icon and actress Heart Evangelista fullfilled her role as president of the Senate Spouses Foundation.

Heart Evangelista’s husband, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, succeeded former Senate President Migz Zubiri. Heart attended his oathtaking and expressed her pride in her husband through a social media post.

With this new chapter in Sen. Chiz’s political career, Heart takes on a new role as well. As the Senate President’s spouse, she automatically becomes the leader of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc.

In an interview following the oathtaking, Sen. Chiz mentioned that Heart was initially panicky upon learning she would lead the foundation. However, he noted that she has been diligently learning about her new responsibilities.

Heart recently offered a glimpse of her first official meeting with the senate spouses as the new president of the Senate Spouses Foundation.

The Senate Spouses Foundation, an organization comprising the spouses of Philippine senators, was formerly headed by Audrey Tan Zubiri, the wife of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri. Audrey recently stepped down as the organization’s president and passed on her duties to Heart.

Heart Evangelista quickly got to work, diving into a brainstorming session for an upcoming project.

Heart penned in a new post, “Our very first meeting and as they say, coming together is just the beginning. Excited to get down to work! Thank you for the warm welcome fellow senate spouses. Ready to honor the challenge of working together and find ways to make our communities better and stronger.”

Mariel Padilla, Maricel Tulfo-Tungol, and Ma. Anna Kathryna Pimentel were tagged in the Kapuso star’s post.

The Senate Spouses Foundation has accomplished a number of things over the last two years, such as medical missions, working with orphanages, and feeding programs for about 500 children.
