Piolo Pascual is set to have his teleserye comeback
A-list actor Piolo Pascual said that he is coming home to his forte as he returns to doing television series.
Piolo took a break for a while in doing TV series. The last teleserye he did was in 2022. It was an adaptation of the K-drama series Flower of Evil with Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino. This year, he returns to doing teleserye.
Based on the article in PUSH, Piolo will star in the TV series Pamilya Sagrado which will premiere on June 17.
In a recent interview about this, Piolo Pascual said that it feels like coming home that he is doing again a teleserye. “I’m coming home to my forte… I’m just really happy to be back here doing the thing that I love the most, which is acting,” the A-list actor said.
He also said that it is really great to be in a team in which everyone brings their A-game from the executives to the producer. Piolo is thankful that he is part of the project.
“Having a great cast, a great production team, great directors, sabi ko, ‘Wow! Iba talaga gumawa ang ABS-CBN,’” the actor shared. He added that he is happy that not everything is about him and the concept is something original that came from nothing and nowhere but everyone worked hand in hand to make this come out and they are hopeful that people will love what they have created.
In the series, Piolo plays the character of Rafael Sagrado, a corrupt politician who is trying to hide the dirty works of his family. The actor shared that it was fun for him to play this kind of character.
“Sabi ko ang sarap paglaruan kasi napakasama niya and maraming paghuhugutan doon sa conflict na pagdadaanan ng character niya with (other characters)… Napaka-complex niya. Ito yung tipo ng istorya na ang sarap bigyan ng buhay kasi hindi ka nakakahon,” he said.
Piolo Pascual also shared that people will be amazed at how the conflicts are being unraveled in the series which is like riding along in a rollercoaster.
