Xian Lim answered these issues surrounding his breakup with Kim Chiu
Kapuso actor Xian Lim reacted to the rumor that he initiated his breakup with Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu.
Several issues surfaced surrounding the KimXi breakup surfaced online. Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared on his Showbiz Update vlog that his source revealed the “breakup story” that Xian initiated the breakup and he did this after making Kim cook his favorite steak.
Allegedly, the actor said that he and Kim should end their relationship while he was eating the steak she cooked for him.
Another issue that Ogie shared on his vlog about the KimXi breakup was that allegedly, Xian Lim called Kim Chiu telling her that she could now confirm his relationship with film producer Iris Lee.
In a recent interview with Inquirer entertainment writer Marinel Cruz, the Kapuso actor belied the steak issue. He stressed that this story is “absurd.”
“I don’t see where it’s coming from. Is it because people are using us for entertainment? I cannot orchestrate that. I wasn’t the one who initiated the breakup. All these fake news, all these dagdag-bawas, are just too much already,” Xian said.
When asked about the rumor that he called his ex-girlfriend saying that she can talk about his new relationship, Xian said that there is no truth to this as well.
The actor admitted that when this issue first surfaced, he did not completely understand the narrative. On the other hand, he admitted that he called Kim because of the various stories that surfaced after their breakup.
Xian said that some parties began being too noisy and that was the time when his family received nasty messages. This was around November and the actor asked Kim if they could both release a statement.
“I was actually begging Kim, saying we should release a statement that we’ve already gone our separate ways, that we separated on good terms at walang sigawan. Of course, there were tears, pero walang masamang tinapay. I said, ‘Can we just release it? A lot of people are getting dragged into this, including my mom and grandmother,” Xian said.
Xian said that when he begged Kim for them to release a statement on their breakup, Kim allegedly said “Not yet” because she was still promoting her series. The actor stressed that it was not work-related as their statement would be about their personal lives.
Then, the “time” for the breakup announcement happened in December. He also said that some people may want them fighting but this did not happen. Xian Lim stressed that he never called Kim Chiu again after that phone call in which he begged her for them to release a breakup statement.
