Kaila Estrada On Her CBML Character’s Revelation: “Nagulat din ako”

The character of Kaila Estrada in CBML received sympathy

Kapamilya actress Kaila Estrada admitted that she was also shocked when it was revealed that her character Bettina in Can’t Buy Me Love was the killer.

Kaila became a trending topic on social media because of her dramatic performance in the said Kapamilya series featuring the DonBelle tandem of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

It was a confrontation scene in which it was revealed that Kaila’s character was the killer, the reason why she did that, and what led her to do that action.

Previously, director Mae Cruz Alviar revealed that the whole confrontation scene was almost one take only and Kaila Estrada gave it all. They got the result they wanted. The director also said that the cast did not initially know who the killer was. They intentionally keep this secret until the last days of filming.

In a recent interview, Kaila confirmed that they were not told at first what would happen at the end of the series. The actress admitted that she was also shocked. “Nagulat din ako. It was quite an interesting experience since we did not know what would happen until a few days before we shot the ending. I did not know Bettina was the killer,” she said.

Kaila also shared that the cast members did not have a copy of the final script during the finale week.

“We would show up sa taping and ibibigay ‘yung sequences that day at doon na rin namin babasahin. It was a completely different way of working, and I felt it added to the suspense,” the actress shared.

She added that because of this, everyone had raw emotions because of high stress and this worked to their advantage. Her character Bettina is a middle child and she said that she can connect with her since she’s a middle child also.

During her monologue, she can relate to some of the lines. Kaila Estrada also shared that she was amused seeing comments from netizens who said that they can relate to her character being a middle child. The actress said that this makes her happy and proud.
