Arci Muñoz loves to change her looks
Actress Arci Muñoz revealed the reason behind evolving looks contrary to her leading lady image.
Arci started her career in the entertainment industry through the Kapuso talent search StarStruck. After that stint, she was given leading lady roles in series and movies. However, the actress is always surprising her fans with her looks that change as frequently as she can.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress who starred in the Kapamilya teleseryes “Pasion de Amor,” “Magpahanggang Wakas,” and “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak,” Arci revealed that ever since she was young she has very passionate to express her love for style and fashion.
However, having strict parents, particularly her dad, hindered Arci Muñoz to fully express this side of her. “These are childhood aspirations na hindi ko nagawa kasi my parents are very strict. Yung bawal kami mag-cutex na black, mga ganon. Daddy ko nakabantay talaga,” the actress shared.
The fact that she was tapped to do leading lady roles hindered her from being experimental and playful in her looks. She had to look like what the normal leading ladies look. However, the actress started having the freedom to play with her looks when she joined her rock band Philia.
“Ngayon lang talaga ako nagka-chance na i-explore iyong mga paborito ko na bagay nung bata ako like anime, like yung pagkulay ng buhok,” she said.
Arci also said that she is not afraid to change her looks even though the mainstream media’s standard is contrary to the style she wants. She said that this makes her happy and she is just expressing herself. The actress pointed out that as she gives inspiration to others, there is nothing wrong with whatever her preference is.
She also said that she can always go back to her black hair if ever a project requires him to have it. “Kapag may mga show, kailangan maging normal na tao,” the actress said.
Arci Muñoz encouraged her fans to step out of the box and not be afraid to express themselves, as well as to do the things that make them happy.
