Rita Daniela is happy to work with Kapamilya stars
Kapuso star Rita Daniela has this reaction when asked about ABS-CBN stars who are now working with GMA Network.
Indeed, network rivalry is just a thing of the past. Years ago, there was a visible line between TV networks as exclusivity was a major thing among artists. Exclusive contract artists in a certain network were not allowed to appear on a different network.
However, in recent years, cross-over from network to network has become a trend. TV networks are collaborating, just like what recently happened with the Kapamilya noontime show and GMA Network.
Rita Daniela was one of the Kapuso stars who performed during the historic contract signing last March 20. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the Kapuso singer-actress said that it was overwhelming to be part of that event. She also felt that her home network gave her importance because of that.
Rita performed with TNT Champions and The Clash Champions. She felt like a big sister to them. When asked if there is a possibility she will guest on the Kapamilya noontime show, she said, “I think so, yes. Kasi nasabi rin sa akin ni Meme [Vice Ganda] na parang I think she’s also looking forward for me to perform there.”
Rita also said that she does not see it as a threat that Kapamilya stars are now being welcomed in the Kapuso network.
“Personally, ha, I don’t think it’s a threat kasi it’s really actually para sa isang artista mas lalawak pa yung oportunidad mo,” she said. The singer-actress added that if you are confident enough and capable as an artist, you will not feel threatened.
She stressed that she is not threatened because she knows her capability as an artist. The singer-actress also said that her home network will not be in a shameful situation. “Hindi ko mapapahiya ang mga bosses ko sa GMA kasi pag sinalang nila ako somewhere, magagawa ko nang maayos yung pinapagawa sa akin,” Rita Daniela said.
The Kapuso star also said that she is open to having a showdown with Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto.
