Kim Chiu spoke about her breakup with Xian Lim
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu had this answer when asked what happened between her and her ex-boyfriend Kapuso actor Xian Lim.
Kim and Xian’s breakup was the last announced celebrity breakup in 2023. They had been together for 12 years but the KimXi fans’ anticipation that they would end up together did not happen.
In their statement confirming their breakup, Kim and Xian did not reveal the reason for their separation. They instead highlighted the happy memories they had when they were together.
Rumors surfaced that Kim Chiu wanted the breakup because allegedly Xian Lim had no plan to bring their relationship to the next level. The actor was also accused of cheating as he was linked to film producer Iris Lee. Allegedly, speculations about the romance between them surfaced back in 2022.
In a recent vlog that celebrity beauty doctor Vicki Belo shared on YouTube, she asked the Chinita Princess about what happened in her relationship with Xian, based on the article in Bandera.
Kim was obviously hesitant to reveal the reason for their breakup. She just said, “Wala naman, baka magalit siya. Ano lang talaga, it’s ano lang, common understanding naman namin na, mutual decision to end things, and to move on with our lives,” she said.
To recall, rumors circulated that it was Xian who initiated the breakup and he did that while eating the steak that he told Kim to cook. Allegedly, this was how the breakup happened. However, this was contradicted by a source from Kim’s camp.
When asked if Kim has long been thinking about ending the relationship, the actress said that this is very personal. “Medyo mahirap siya and, you just have to accept siguro [‘yong] mga bagay na wala ka nang control, and you cannot push yourself sa isang bagay na, not naman in the same wavelength,” she added.
