Paolo Contis reacted to this rumor about him
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis debunked the rumor that he has “tampo” to his home network GMA after the recent conclusion of his noontime show stint.
Paolo’s career started in ABS-CBN but he was able to continue doing various projects when he transferred to the Kapuso network. Aside from being part of the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang, he was given a chance to be a main host of the Kapuso noontime show that was eventually named Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
However, this was just a short stint because TAPE Inc., the production company behind the noontime show, decided to discontinue it. The final episode aired on March 12 and eventually, TAPE and GMA released a statement on this matter.
Rumor has it that after the closing spiel for their final episode, Paolo Contis cried in the dressing room. It is known to many that he received tremendous bashing when he was introduced as one of the main hosts to replace the iconic TVJ trio in the noontime show.
Just recently, a source from the camp of TAPE Inc. debunked the rumors that the production company is closing down. It was said that it is already fixing its financial responsibility to GMA and that the company will continue to produce shows.
A rumor also surfaced that Paolo has “tampo” to the Kapuso network management. During the Best Time Ever press conference, the actor underscored the support that he has been receiving from GMA and how thankful he is for this. He also belied the rumor that he felt bad toward his home network.
“May kumalat po na may tampo ako sa GMA. Hindi po yun totoo. Pero pagbigyan na po natin yung mga nagkakalat non. Content po nila yon. Para po sa kanila yon. Pero it’s not true. I love GMA and I am very thankful to GMA,” Paolo said.
He added that his home network has been supporting him ever since even during the time when he does not deserve to be supported. With this, he said that there is no reason for him to feel bad against GMA.
