Kim and Paulo’s tandem, known as KimPau, is well-loved by many fans. Their onscreen partnership first acquired popularity through the Prime series Linlang. Then, they were given a chance to pair in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series.

Because of their onscreen chemistry, it is inevitable for their fans to ship them in real life. Rumors have surfaced that they are having a relationship now. Their co-star Pepe Herrera even shared that Kim and Paulo were like “mag-asawa” on the set.

In a recent interview, Kim Chiu reacted to being linked to Paulo Avelino, based on the article in Inquirer. The actress admitted that it feels weird but she is thankful for this.

She is also aware of how their fans would ship them on social media, especially on X, formerly known as Twitter. There were times when their names would become a trending topic. However, Kim is somehow worried.

“Sometimes, we would read stuff about us on X. It’s a happy feeling that, even at our age, people are still trying to ‘ship’ us. To prove their point, they would say things about us that we would just laugh at, but we’re very thankful for their support,” she said.

In a recent interview, Kim and Paulo were asked what was right about each other. “What’s right about Kim? Everything. Things are going well for her, career-wise. There’s only one aspect that’s not right,” the actor said about his leading lady.

He added that Kim already knows about this and that she just needs to have a positive outlook. Paulo said that everything about Kim was right. “She’s beautiful and has a wonderful career, as well,” he said.

Kim Chiu said that her leading man is “perfect” as it is what his character in the series is often described. The actress also said that Paulo Avelino is very professional and now he is funny. “He is being himself—that’s what makes him right,” she added.
