Herlene Budol has this answer when asked about her recent controversy
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol was asked how she recovered from her “kain” controversy with actor Rob Gomez.
To recall, Herlene was accused of being the “kabit” or third party in Rob’s breakup with former partner Shaila Rebortera. The private conversations between Rob and Herlene were exposed and netizens specifically made fun of their “kain” conversation.
The actress was bashed because of this but she defended herself. She said that their exchanges of messages were part of a script and that they were just rehearsing.
To make this issue lighter, the actress even released a teaser of the song she will release titled ‘Kain Tayo’ which is based on the controversy.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Herlene Budol was asked about the update on her single and her answer was about her single status. “Okay pa naman po ako. Masaya ako sa single life ko,” she said.
After realizing that the question was about the song that she was supposed to release, she said, “Actually, kanta po siya ni Mr. Wilbert Tolentino…” She also said that she has no new song or album.
Then, Herlene said that she was not affected by the issue when asked how she recovered from the controversy. The actress also stressed that she is not guilty.
“Actually, hindi naman ako gaano naapektuhan. Naapektuhan ako in a way kasi jinudge ako ng mga tao. For me, okay lang din naman s’ya kasi sabi nga nila, good or bad publicity is still publicity. Guilty ka na lang kung maapektuhan ka ng sobra. Hindi naman tayo guilty, so tuloy lang ang buhay,” Herlene said.
Aside from being part of the primetime series Black Rider, she is also one of the cast members of the sitcom Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis. The actress shared that she is able to manage her time with the help of people who are fixing her schedule.
Herlene Budol is now under the management of Sparkle, the talent management company of GMA.
